OUR APPROACH

From Problems to Possibilities

EverGood Care does not believe that communities should be defined by their challenges.

We believe they should be defined by their potential.

Our approach therefore focuses not only on identifying social problems, but on creating opportunities, building capacity and mobilising people to become part of the solution.

We work through five interconnected approaches:

  1. EDUCATE

We believe education is one of the most powerful tools for changing lives.

We support initiatives that improve access to education, raise awareness, develop knowledge and equip individuals with information that enables them to make informed decisions.

Our educational work includes community awareness, youth programmes, health education, mental-health information, drug-abuse prevention and skills development.

  1. EMPOWER

People are more likely to transform their circumstances when they have the confidence, skills and opportunities to do so.

We support empowerment initiatives involving young people, women, families and marginalised communities, including vocational training, livelihood initiatives, mentorship and personal development.

  1. STRENGTHEN

Strong communities are built on strong people, families and support networks.

We promote mental wellness, self-care, resilience, positive behaviours and community support systems that enable people to cope with challenges and build healthier lives.

  1. MOBILISE

Social challenges cannot be solved by one organisation acting alone.

EverGood Care seeks to bring together communities, government institutions, NGOs, healthcare professionals, educational institutions, businesses, churches, development partners and other stakeholders to address issues collectively.

  1. SUSTAIN

We believe community development must go beyond short-term interventions.

Our programmes seek to encourage sustainable practices, local participation, skills development, environmental responsibility and community ownership so that positive change can continue long after an individual project has ended.
